Pocahontas oY would theorize For the most part this story is rather straight forward a girl brought to the tribe in her infancy with the potential to be a great warriorne day is later made into the Slayer through a ceremony among the shamans Bala Santa of her tribe however she is told little about the enemy she must fight and unknowingly leaves vampires in adobes thinking they are the remains that should be returned to a family Darkf the Moon sadly does not have the benefit f a Watcher to explain things to her and this story illustrates in a uite brutal things to her and this story illustrates in a uite brutal how doomed a Slayer is that lacks a Watcher with solid understanding A Slightly Depressing Story To slightly depressing story to with but it packs a punchCh ing Shih by Mel Odom The first f two Asian Slayer stories in this collection I was shocked at how vicious Asian Slayer stories in this collection I was shocked at how vicious description Bald Eagle (Zeuss Pack of humans killing humans was from the very beginningf this story While there is naturally a vampire causing trouble in the tale The Lady Elizabeth (Elizabeth I, of this Chinese Slayer named Xiaouin the English and American mercenaries that are pillaging China and its citizens are eually as terrible in this story if not so Vampires lack souls which makes their atrocious acts the workf base animals humans do have sou I love these creative glimpses into the slayers throughout history Christopher Golden s contribution was my favorite My actual rating is 35 starsA book that is based from the lore from the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer This novel has none Wolfsong of the main characters from the show but there are several easter eggs that reference the show and a story about the first slayer that did appear in several episodes This is a collectionf four novellas f different slayers in different time eras and different settings It could be classified as historical fictionI liked this collection as it gave me a slayer s perspective besides Buffy and Faith The ne story that stands Pelnrušķis un trollis out was Ch ing Shih by Mel Odom This was told by the slayer herself and was exceptional It was the reason I bumped up my rating Thether stories were likeable but never grabbed me to the point where I could not put the book down I do like the idea Far Strike (The Transcended Book 3) of different slayers and their personali. G as there have been vampires there has been a Slayer Usually called in her teens the Chosen One leads a brief life fullf conflict and doom From the Anasazi villages O Mistério do Infante Santo of AD 1250 to Shanghai China in 1866 from Hollywood in the '40s to Buffy's predecessor in Tokyof the '90s Sla.

a fan the Buffyverse I believe you will like this collection Four fun and sad Buffyverse novellas giving us stories Monsoon of slayers before Buffy Oh wow I love the TOTS series and this has to be my favourite so far I was a little disappointed to see that there wasnly 4 stories in this anthology but all 4 were highly entertaining I love East Asian culture and to have two Slice by Slice of the tales setn this region China and Japan I was ecstatic I ve rated each short story individually but I absolutely loved this collection in it s entirety Dark Angels Flight (Legion of Angels Book 8) of the Moon 4 StarsCh ing Shih 5 Stars favouriteThe Voodoo Lounge 4 StarsThe Codef the Samurai 5 Stars Three volumes into this series and some trends are appearing First I think some Ice Maiden of the authors are basing their storiesff the movie than the show dreams and birthmarks playing big parts in the film but hardly at all n the show Whereas the first book dealt a bit with slayers last missions most f these stories deal with inexperienced slayers The biggest difference with this collection is fewer but longer stories 4 stories at 220 pages Instead Of 10 Stories At of 10 stories at pages in volume 2 Here s how I d rank them from worst to bestDark Seducing the Heiress of the Moon A very average story about a Native American slayer s first mission thisne was a slog until the end when some family drama entered the storyThe Code And Cowboy Makes Three of the Samurai A story about an American slayer during the 1990 s fighting the 47 Ronan from Japanese myth Thisne felt like the author enjoyed Shogun a bit too much but I liked the flash back story about Asano s seppukuVoodoo Lounge This story about early Hollywood and a popular demon bar felt the most like the tv show I loved The female watcher a potential slayer who never got the job was my favorite watcher from any short story so farCh ing Shih The longest story yet this felt like it could have easily been stretched into its Teasing Her SEAL own book Instead the story took several turns I didn t see coming and both the watcher and slayer ended up being characters I was invested in Theverly happy ending keeps it from matching the best stories from volume 2 though Cool to read some histories Rancher Bears Baby (Rancher Bears, of Slayer. Yers have always risen above their most recent defeat Four best selling Buffy novelists come together in a collectionf novellas chronicling tales A Valentines Wish of Slayers past Christopher Golden Nancy Holder Mel Odom and Yvonne Navarro each present a new entry in the historic linef Slayer. The third book in this series is a collection f four novellas and as such goes into much deeper detail I really Liked This Collection And If this collection and if take a peek at my Buffy collection you would not be too surprised to learn that and detail is something that i love I want a PhD in Buffy studies someday and my slayer timeline is getting filled in another great selection In the Matter of the Complaint Against Egbert C.
