I really loved his rendition of he myth of Hades and Persephone Beman has not only created a sexy hero in Hades she has also written a fascinating mysterious and multi layered back story for Persephone All oo often Persephone is portrayed as an innocent witless girl Not so in his book She is a curious passionate and vivacious woman Typically Demeter is he only character who reats Persephone like a child The novel begins with Hades being released by Zeus and Poseidon from he prisons in Tartarus in exchange for his help in fighting and recapturing he escaped Titans Hades helps but he just wants o be left alone o live his life in peace after he wins hem he war This relative peace is short lived when he comes upon Persephone in her mother s groveAt first he story seems Many Europes: Choice and Chance in Western Civilization, Volume 2 to be about Hades but as it often happens inhe retelling of The Organizational Champion: How to Develop Passionate Change Agents at Every Level this myth it is much about Persephone s path of self discovery and who she can become sans Demeter As for Hades he yearns for someone whom he can love and who can love him back completely his Phlegethon demon callso another He must soon find his mate or else spend eternity in madnessI d love for her Writing For Business Results to write Thanatos story I greatly impressed byhis book I love Jade Darcy and the Affair of Honor the HadesPersephone myth and I m always onhe hunt

Away from Dream A Little Death the gloomy Guses who are popular in many worksoday Of all Argos: The Story of Odysseus as Told by His Loyal Dog the characters I d say he washe most The Women in the Castle tenderhearted Yet he was caring in a way which didn detract from his masculinity Well done I liked himPersephone reminded me of a butterfly or Snow White Picture he scene where Snow WHITE OR ANY OF THE DISNEY DAMSELS WHO SING or any of he Disney Damsels who sing and just enjoy life That was Persephone I worried I d grow What Not to Bare tiresome of her frolicking but ashe plot unfolded so did other facets of her personality I admit Persephone wasn Glimmer t one of my favorite heroines Mostly because I don go for he damsels in distress ype However Ms Beman gave excellent rationales behind Persephone s early behavior and by Forward: A Memoir the end ofhe story Persephone s early behavior and by The Return of George Washington: 1783-1789 the end ofhe story was definitely character growthPlot wise I m a sucker for Greek mythology I got into it when I was a young girl and it s held my interest ever since I expected Rain Wilds Chronicles to read aypical mythology about Hades and Persephone with he same old storyline but fleshed out as Ms Beman gave it her own voice Boy was I wrong Ms Beman ook liberties in weaving Puntos de Partida this story Much ishe same so Into the Crossfire that it hashe Greek Mythology feel but a few deviations here and here really added a flare It kept me on my oes since I wasn Selling Out: How Big Corporate Money Buys Elections, Rams Through Legislation, and Betrays Our Democracy t sure howhe storyline would differ from what I d read of Hades and Persephone in All Involved the pastI knowhis is a nitpicking Ballroom type ofhing But if you ve read my other reviews you know I m prone The Hidden Memory of Objects to it The story starts with a Prologue Now I m oneo read prologues cause I m afraid of missing The Boys in the Bunkhouse: Servitude and Salvation in the Heartland things This year I found many people skip overhe prologue The prologue for My Lord Hades reads like a first chapter It s a shame Ms Beman didn Unworldly Encounter: Part 5 t label it as such Ihink she missed an opportunity hereThe
Characters Were Well Fleshed
were well fleshed plot was interesting and fresh Overall I enjoyed it Not bad for a debut novel 45 stars Let me start by saying hat his book was definitely not what I expected when I started itIt was so much betterIt surprised me and I couldnt have been satisfied with a Hades and Persephone book I loved it What I dont love in his book however is The Structuralist Controversy: The Languages of Criticism and the Sciences of Man the cover I REALLY dont likehe coverAnd I didnt really like Persephone just saying xD This book really needed a better editor but despite Mining Group Gold, Third Edition: How to Cash in on the Collaborative Brain Power of a Team for Innovation and Results that I really liked it This book is not meanto be faithful Yankton College: A Historical Sketch (Classic Reprint) to mythology manyhings are changed like Hades not being son of Cronos and Rhea but Eris and etc and Medical Office Procedures there are someropes I have disliked in all other Hades Persephone books as Demeter being overprotective or having male gods Courting Claudia tryingo assault Persephone But despite Jack's Widow: A Novel those facts I really could not put downhis book and I ve read it 3 The Scandal Plan times I m really amazedhat Death on the Aisle this book with its flaws was far charming for mmehan other Persephone Hades books I ve readI specially liked Allied the portrayal of Thanatos andhe idea of Underworld having an ancient ueen Again Superheroes Anonymous this is not a 5 stars book it seriously needed a better editing Good compelling story buthere are gaps in Persephone s discovery of her past Hades and Persephone have always been my favorite of Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex the Greek myths so I wasn sure whether I would love Bringing Out the Best in Yourself at Work: How to Use the Enneagram System for Success this book or hate it I loved it Whenhe book opens we find Hades as a prisoner in Tartarus Snowbound at Christmas (Montana Men, tortured by specters of his past Zeus and Poseidon appear and offer both Kingdom and brideo Hades if he will help hem finish he ongoing war with Bad Childhood---Good Life: How to Blossom and Thrive in Spite of an Unhappy Childhood the Titans It s a simple choice between agony and revenge Meanwhile Persephone is living with her mother Demeter She s lost all of her powers but even worse she s lost her memories as well Unhappily sheltered Persephone knowshere is something something she is missing And when she meets Drive Me Crazy the dark mysterious Hades one day she discovers what it is Stephannie Bemanakes One Lucky Hero the story of Persephone and Hades and adds enoughwists o make it new and bring out he underlying passion I always felt was hiding beneath The Seaworthy Offshore Sailboat: A Guide to Essential Features, Gear, and Handling the myth Her representation of Hades ashe smoldering bad boy with a dark regretful past and a desperate need for The Hacker Diaries: Confessions of Teenage Hackers the salvation only love can bring is dead on Meanwhile Persephone slowly changes beforehe reader s eyes from a very imid creature o a woman who is han capable of holding her own There were several surprising plot wists The underworld s first ruler for instance and even some humor in he form of he Nymphs In short all I have o say is hat if Hades came Kissing in America thunderingowards me on a chariot I most certainly wouldn Nylon and Bombs: DuPont and the March of Modern America t argu.
